Often my works combine graphic design and printmaking techniques. I create imagery with quotes and/or words from philanthropists, sports entertainers, entrepreneurs to create conversations around celebrity culture. Through design software, intaglio, relief, and lithography I manipulate the relationships between text and images in order to give a new perspective. I use the relationship between celebrities and their platform in the public eye to share messages that I am passionate about.
I create colorful and creative pieces of work with handmade and digital techniques. The pieces that I create have a graphic quality, as well as, a handmade quality that relates to my design and printmaking work. I use digital imaging software, linoleum cuts, and copper plates for my printmaking work. After this step, I often bring the printed image back into design software to create a graphical image and apply the image to three-dimensional objects.
I place handmade images on everyday objects like t-shirts, mugs, shoes, etc. These handmade images allow for the customizability of an object. Also, the handmade images allow for easy application onto anything.
